Halal food in Shibuya starts with Gyumon's wagyu ramen, 1 min from the station, and Shinjuku-tei's prayer room. 8 spots with prices and stations.
Introduction
The easiest halal food in Shibuya is a short walk from the station: Gyumon's halal wagyu ramen on Center-gai (1 min, ramen from ¥2,560), Gyumon's halal wagyu yakiniku (5 min, about ¥6,500 per person) and the Halal Wagyu Stall counter shop. Cheaper options start under ¥999 on Tabelog, and the splurge is a ¥16,500 halal wagyu steak course on the 14th floor of E-Space Tower.
This guide covers 8 spots in and just outside Shibuya, checked against official sites and Tabelog pages in 2026. None of them names a certifying body, so we describe each one in the shop's own words and say plainly what is unknown. Where a price, hour or closing day is not published, we say "check the official site" instead of guessing. We also flag which places serve alcohol and where the in-restaurant prayer rooms are.

What changed in 2026
Several halal listings on older guides are out of date.
- Seibu Shibuya closed. The A building, B building and parking building closed on 30 September 2026 (the Loft and Movida buildings continue under other names). That removes Gohan-Cafe (A building B2F) and the Seibu Shibuya B1 prayer room that Halal Gourmet Japan still lists.
- Samrat is gone. All Samrat branches in Udagawacho (Samrat Shibuya, Curry House, Curry Plaza and Dosa House) are closed on Tabelog. We found no verified halal Indian or Pakistani restaurant within walking distance of Shibuya Station.
1. Gyumon Shibuya Yakiniku (牛門 渋谷) — A5 halal wagyu grill, avg ¥6,500, 5 min from Shibuya Station
Gyumon's Shibuya yakiniku shop is the group's original restaurant (open since 2007, by the group's own account), set in an old wooden house at 3-14-5 Shibuya. You grill the meat yourself over charcoal, and the signature is thin A5 halal wagyu sirloin that needs only a quick sear.
Hitosara lists an average of ¥6,500 per person (TableCheck says ¥7,000), with a la carte cuts such as harami at ¥920 and jo-karubi at ¥2,420, tax included. Alcohol is served here, unlike at the Gyumon ramen shops.
Halal wording: the group says its ingredients, seasonings and cooking methods are fully halal with guidance from certification authorities, but names no body. A certifier name quoted online comes from a 2017 review, not the shop's pages. For every Gyumon branch and prices, see our Gyumon Shibuya guide; for other halal yakiniku in the city, see our halal wagyu guide for Tokyo.

Tabelog reviews from August 2026 show what to expect to pay: the Spicy All Toppings Wagyu Ramen (Shoulder) is ¥3,740, and the A5 Wagyu Ramen & Gyukatsu Set (Shoulder) is ¥6,020, both tax included. Vegan White and Spicy ramen are also on the menu, which helps mixed groups; see our vegetarian ramen guide for more meat-free bowls, or our halal ramen guide for Tokyo for the wider picture.
The Center-gai shop. The closest Gyumon ramen to the Crossing is on the 5F of Shibu Building, 24-6 Udagawacho, on Center-gai: 1 min from the station, open 12:00-23:00, 17 seats, cash and cards accepted. The Giant Crispy Karaage Ramen at ¥2,560 was the cheapest item in a June 2026 Tabelog review. A vegan sister shop, Scramble 2nd, is in B1F.

It sells wagyu skewers, steak over rice and a hamburger, which makes it a quick halal wagyu stop near the Crossing. Menu notes and directions are in our Halal Wagyu Stall Shibuya guide.

Shinjuku-tei is the second halal ramen brand in Shibuya after Gyumon, and a different company from Gyumon. This branch is in the basement of the DIX Jinnan Building at 1-17-2 Jinnan, near Shibuya PARCO. Its main selling point is practical: the official site lists a prayer room and wudu facilities inside the restaurant.
Per the official site (tax status not stated), Wagyu Ramen runs from ¥3,000 (1 slice) to ¥6,000 (5 slices), the Halal Wagyu Ramen Special Set is ¥6,000, and Halal Chicken Ramen is the budget route at ¥1,500 to ¥2,500. Tabelog puts the budget at ¥4,000-¥4,999.
Halal wording: the official site says the ramen is 100% halal, with halal meat and seasonings, no pork or alcohol, halal storage, kitchen and tableware, supervised by certification bodies. It does not name a certifying body.
What to order

Practical info

5. Kebab Cafe Dogenzaka (ケバブカフェ) — Turkish kebab, Tabelog budget under ¥999
Kebab Cafe is a budget Turkish kebab shop on Bunkamura-dori in Dogenzaka, and its own site says it serves halal food. It is open daily from 11:00 to 23:00, with weekday lunch from 11:30 to 16:00.
Tabelog puts the budget under ¥999, with reviewers averaging ¥1,000-¥2,999. Besides the doner kebab, the menu includes Turkish set meals and vegetarian dishes. Walk up Bunkamura-dori toward Don Quijote; the building is before Camera no Kitamura, diagonally across from H&M.
Halal wording: the official site says "I offer HALAL food". Halal Food in Japan lists a halal menu and a prayer room, with no certification stated. The shop serves wine, so it is Muslim-friendly rather than alcohol-free.

6. Malay Asian Cuisine Shibuya (マレー・アジアン・クイジーン) — Malaysian dinner at ¥3,000-¥3,999
Malay Asian Cuisine is a Malaysian restaurant on the 2nd floor of the SANWA Aoyama Building at 2-9-9 Shibuya, on Aoyama-dori. It is the Southeast Asian pick: Hainanese chicken rice, nasi goreng, satay, mee laksa and curry with roti, cooked by a Malaysian chef.
Tabelog lists a dinner budget of ¥3,000-¥3,999; Halal Food in Japan lists lunch at ¥1,500 and dinner at ¥4,000.
Halal wording: we are less sure about this one. Muslim-friendly, no certification stated. Halal Food in Japan (verified April 2026) lists no pork and a halal menu, with certification marked "No". A 2019 MATCHA article says everything except the alcohol is prepared halal. The shop's official site makes no halal claim, so confirm with staff. It serves alcohol (sake, shochu, wine and cocktails per Tabelog), so it is Muslim-friendly, not alcohol-free.

Gonpachi Shibuya is a large Japanese restaurant on the 14th floor of E-Space Tower (3-6 Maruyamacho) with views over Shibuya, and it is the "proper Japanese dinner" option on this list. It offers a halal Kuroge wagyu steak course for ¥15,000 (¥16,500 tax included): namul, fried shrimp dumpling with yuzu chili sauce, seasonal grilled fish, halal Kuroge wagyu sirloin steak, halal tempura rice bowl and dessert. It also has a vegan menu.
The halal part is the course, not the venue: Gonpachi has a full bar. After 17:00 there is a minimum charge of ¥1,100 per person. The course sheet is labelled Nishi-Azabu (July 2024), so confirm availability at Shibuya when you book.
Halal wording: halal course offered (official). Certifying body not named. Halal Food in Japan lists a prayer room and says to book the halal course at least 3 business days ahead; Tabelog notes a halal-friendly menu.

8. Kopikalyan Tokyo Harajuku (コピカリアン 東京店) — Indonesian coffee with a prayer room, drinks from ¥700
Kopikalyan is an Indonesian coffee roaster café in Garden Square Harajuku (6-15-14 Jingumae), one stop from Shibuya and 5 minutes from Meiji-jingumae Station. It serves single-origin Indonesian coffee and kopi drinks, so treat it as a drinks and prayer break rather than a full meal; check the food menu before you count on lunch.
The reason it is on a halal list is the prayer room. The shop's own Tabelog note says there is a prayer room for Muslim guests, so the toilet area can be crowded at prayer times (noon, café time and evening). Tabelog lists a budget of ¥1,000-¥1,999 and Honeycombers (April 2026) says from ¥700.
Halal wording: Muslim-friendly (prayer room on site per the shop's own Tabelog note); no halal food certification is stated, so ask about ingredients.

Prayer rooms and alcohol: what to check in Shibuya
Prayer rooms. The Shibuya PARCO 5F prayer room (15-1 Udagawacho) is listed as open 5:00-23:00 and was verified on Halal Food in Japan in April 2026. Inside restaurants, Shinjuku-tei Shibuya has a prayer room and wudu facilities (official site), Kopikalyan has a prayer room (the shop's Tabelog note) and Halal Food in Japan lists one at Kebab Cafe. Halal Food in Japan also lists one at Gonpachi, and an upstairs prayer space at the Halal Wagyu Stall. Halal Gourmet Japan also lists "Shibuya Mushalla" and the Harajuku Tourist Information Center as nearby prayer spaces. Do not rely on the old Seibu Shibuya B1 prayer room, which closed with the store.
Alcohol. No alcohol on the menu: the Gyumon ramen shops (soft drinks only) and Shinjuku-tei Shibuya (no pork or alcohol per the official site). Alcohol is served at Gyumon Yakiniku, Kebab Cafe (wine), Malay Asian Cuisine and Gonpachi.
