Best Ramen in Shibuya 2026: 9 Shops from ¥850, Open Late

Best Ramen in Shibuya 2026: 9 Shops from ¥850, Open Late

The best ramen in Shibuya starts at ¥850 at Kiraku. Nine shops, from Hayashi's shoyu to 24-hour Ichiran, with hours, prices and payment tips.

Introduction

The best ramen in Shibuya starts at ¥850 for a classic shoyu bowl at Kiraku, and most bowls cost between ¥1,000 and ¥1,490 before extra toppings. This guide picks 9 shops: shoyu, Hakata tonkotsu, Hokkaido shio, spicy miso, yuzu shio and a 24-hour booth bowl. Most are within a 10-minute walk of a Shibuya Station exit, and Toride is one stop away on the Keio Inokashira Line.

We checked every shop's official site or Tabelog page in October 2026 for hours, prices, seats and payment, and we left out anything we could not verify. Two warnings apply across the list: several shops are cash only (Hayashi, Kiraku and Nagi Butao), and AFURI Dogenzaka takes no cash at all. Late-night picks are in the section near the end.

Short version: Hayashi for the highest Tabelog score if you can make lunch, Kiraku for the lowest price, Ichiran when you want a sure thing at any hour, and Santouka, AFURI or Shinbusakiya after the bars.

1. Hayashi (はやし) — Shoyu ramen from ¥1,000, lunch only

Hayashi is the shop to plan your day around. It serves shoyu ramen from a 10-seat counter on Dogenzaka, and it is among the highest-rated ramen shops on Tabelog's Shibuya-area list (3.77 when we checked on October 9, 2026). The catch is the schedule: lunch only, closed Wednesday, Sunday and public holidays, and it closes early when the soup runs out.

Recent reviews describe about 10 people waiting at noon on a Saturday (roughly 15 minutes) and about 35 minutes to a bowl at 13:40 on a Friday, while a rainy 15:00 had no line at all.

What to order

  • Ramen (らーめん), ¥1,000 - the shoyu bowl the shop is rated for.
  • Ajitama ramen, ¥1,100 - the same bowl with a seasoned egg.
  • Yakibuta (chashu) ramen with egg, ¥1,500 - the big-topping option.

Practical info

  • Location: Social Dogenzaka 1F, 1-14-9 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku
  • Nearest station: Keio Inokashira Line West Exit 2 min; Hanzomon / Den-en-toshi lines 5 min; JR Hachiko / South Exit 6 min
  • Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat 11:30-15:30 (closes when the soup runs out)
  • Closed: Wednesday, Sunday and public holidays
  • Price: ¥1,000-¥1,500 (Tabelog menu updated November 2025; shio ramen also ¥1,000)
  • English menu: Yes, per Tabelog
  • Reservation: Walk-in only; ticket machine at the entrance
  • Payment: Cash only
  • Source: Tabelog

Insider tip

Lines build around noon and again by 13:40; a rainy 15:00 had none, but the shop closes when the soup runs out. Say shio when handing over your ticket if you want the shio bowl.

2. Chuka-men-ten Kiraku (中華麺店 喜楽) — Old-school shoyu from ¥850

Kiraku is a Dogenzaka shoyu ramen shop that Tabelog lists as opened in 1952. The classic chuka-men is ¥850, the lowest verified price in this guide, and the house style leans on simple, old-fashioned toppings: fried shallots, bean sprouts and wontons. A few 2026 reviewers felt the flavor has shifted over the years, so go expecting an honest, traditional-style shoyu bowl rather than a time capsule.

It is also one of the few shops here with room for a group: 27 seats, with 7 at the counter on the 1st floor and tables upstairs. October 2026 reviews report no wait in the mid-afternoon and early evening, but a line had formed by about 13:30-14:00 on a Saturday.

What to order

  • Chuka-men (中華麺), ¥850 - the classic shoyu ramen.
  • Moyashi wonton-men (もやしワンタン麺), ¥1,100 - bean-sprout wonton noodles.
  • Wonton-men, ¥1,000 - if you want wontons without the sprouts.

Practical info

  • Location: 2-17-6 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku
  • Nearest station: Keio Inokashira Line Shinsen Station 7 min; JR Shibuya Station Hachiko Exit 8 min
  • Hours: 11:30-20:30
  • Closed: Wednesday
  • Price: ¥850-¥1,100 (large size +¥100; Tabelog menu updated June 2025, chuka-men confirmed at ¥850 in an October 2026 review)
  • English menu: Not confirmed (check Google Maps photos or Tabelog before you go)
  • Reservation: Walk-in only
  • Payment: Cash only
  • Source: Tabelog

Insider tip

Come mid-afternoon or early evening to avoid the lunch line. Tables upstairs make Kiraku the easier pick for families and groups than the counter-only shops on this list.

3. Men no Bo Toride (麺の坊 砦) — Hakata tonkotsu near Shinsen, ¥1,000

Toride is near Shinsen Station on the Keio Inokashira Line, 3 minutes from that station and 14 minutes on foot from JR Shibuya's Hachiko Exit. That is the edge of what counts as near Shibuya Station, but it is a reasonable detour for Hakata-style tonkotsu with thin noodles that is not a booth chain: ride one stop on the Inokashira Line or walk up Dogenzaka.

The bowl is the Toride ramen (砦らぁめん) at ¥1,000, and unlike the many cash-only shops nearby, Toride takes cards, IC cards and QR payments. A September 2026 review found no wait at 13:50, and an October 2026 reviewer wrote in English and described the foreign staff as polite, although we could not confirm an English menu.

What to order

  • Toride ramen (砦らぁめん), ¥1,000 - the Hakata tonkotsu bowl.
  • Kaedama (替玉) - an extra serving of noodles for the leftover soup.
  • Small rice, ¥250

Practical info

  • Location: Cerulean Bldg 1F, 20-23 Shinsen-cho, Shibuya-ku
  • Nearest station: Keio Inokashira Line Shinsen Station 3 min; JR Shibuya Station Hachiko Exit 14 min on foot
  • Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 11:00-15:15 (last order 15:00) and 17:30-22:15 (last order 22:00); Sat, Sun and holidays 11:00-22:15 without a break (last order 22:00, from 2026)
  • Closed: Wednesday (open if Wednesday is a holiday, from 2026), New Year, and occasional temporary closures
  • Price: Toride ramen ¥1,000; small rice ¥250
  • English menu: Not confirmed (check Google Maps or Tabelog)
  • Reservation: Walk-in only; pay after eating
  • Payment: Cards, IC cards and QR accepted
  • Source: Tabelog

Insider tip

On Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri it closes 15:15-17:30. Check Google Maps for temporary closures before the walk.

4. Ramen Nagi Butao (ラーメン凪 豚王 渋谷本店) — Tonkotsu under ¥1,000

Ramen Nagi Butao's Shibuya main shop (渋谷本店) is on the quieter east side of the station, near Hikarie, and serves rich tonkotsu for under ¥1,000 (September 2026 review). With tables for groups, it is a calmer alternative to the Dogenzaka crush.

The walk is 8 minutes from the JR East Exit: head toward Shibuya Police Station, follow Roppongi-dori and turn right at the Shibuya 3-chome signal. From the Tokyu and Metro side it is 8 minutes from Exit 15 (Hikarie 1F). Staff ask your preferred noodle firmness when you hand over the ticket, and September 2026 reviews report almost no wait, with one person ahead at 18:30 on a Saturday.

What to order

  • Butao (豚王) tonkotsu ramen, under ¥1,000 - the signature rich tonkotsu bowl.
  • Kuro-o (黒王) black garlic tonkotsu - the darker version.
  • Niboshi ramen (煮干ラーメン), ¥950 - a dried-sardine broth, if you want something other than pork. The negi ramen is ¥970.

Practical info

  • Location: Caminito 1F, 1-3-1 Higashi, Shibuya-ku
  • Nearest station: JR Shibuya Station East Exit 8 min; Tokyu / Metro Exit 15 (Hikarie 1F) 8 min
  • Hours: Mon-Sat 10:00-22:30; Sun and holidays 10:00-20:00 (official shop page)
  • Closed: None listed
  • Price: Tonkotsu ramen under ¥1,000; niboshi ¥950; negi ramen ¥970
  • English menu: Not confirmed at the shop; the official site has an English section (n-nagi.com/english)
  • Reservation: Walk-in only; ticket machine
  • Payment: Cash only
  • Source: Official shop page

Insider tip

Sunday and holiday closing is 20:00, so this is not your late-night shop on those days. The official page's web address mentions Golden Gai, but its content is for this Shibuya shop at Higashi 1-3-1.

5. Ichiran Shibuya (一蘭 渋谷店) — 24-hour booth ramen, ¥1,180

Ichiran is the booth-style tonkotsu chain, and the Shibuya shop is 3 minutes from the Hachiko Exit. Cross the Scramble, follow the 109-2 road toward Harajuku, and look for the entrance next to Marui JAM in the basement of the Iwamoto Building. It is open 24 hours every day, which makes it the sure thing when everything else has closed.

Lines are the trade-off. Reviews from July to October 2026 describe about 20 minutes as typical (the queue runs up the outside stairs by 18:00), and one reviewer waited about 2 hours on a Sunday.

What to order

  • Tonkotsu ramen (天然とんこつラーメン), ¥1,180 - the original bowl.
  • Kaedama (替玉), ¥210 - extra noodles.

Practical info

  • Location: Iwamoto Bldg B1F, 1-22-7 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku
  • Nearest station: JR Shibuya Station Hachiko Exit 3 min; Tokyo Metro Shibuya Station 3 min
  • Hours: 24 hours (late-night surcharge 22:00-06:00, amount not stated)
  • Closed: Open every day
  • Price: Original tonkotsu ramen ¥1,180; kaedama ¥210; 21 booth seats
  • English menu: Official site in English; English order sheet not stated on the shop page
  • Reservation: Walk-in (we could not verify booking for this branch)
  • Payment: Ticket machine takes cash, QR, Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX, Diners and IC cards
  • Source: Official shop page

Insider tip

If the line is long, try Ichiran Shibuya Spain-zaka: 13-7 Udagawacho, Koyasu One B1F, 5 minutes from the West Exit, also open 24 hours, with 40 booth seats (Tabelog).

6. Ramen Santouka (らーめん山頭火 渋谷店) — Shio ramen, open to 3:30 a.m.

Ramen Santouka is the Asahikawa, Hokkaido chain, and its signature is a shio (salt) ramen on a pork-bone base topped with a pickled plum. The Shibuya shop sits on the east side near the Namikibashi crossing on Meiji-dori, 3 minutes from the New South Exit or 6 minutes from the East Exit.

The late hours are the reason to remember it: Monday to Saturday it is open until 03:30, one of the latest options on this list. Reviews from July 2026 report no wait at 11:30 or at 23:30 on a weekday. Payment sources conflict, so bring cash.

What to order

  • Shio ramen (しおらーめん), ¥1,250 - the signature bowl with the pickled plum (August 2026 review).
  • Tokusen toro-niku ramen (特選とろ肉らーめん), ¥1,700 for the large - the extra-chashu bowl (July 2026 review).

Practical info

  • Location: Gojo Bldg 1F, 3-13-7 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku
  • Nearest station: JR Shibuya Station New South Exit 3 min; East Exit 6 min
  • Hours: Mon-Sat 11:00-03:30; Sun 11:00-21:00 (Sundays before a holiday until 03:30); closes early if the soup runs out
  • Closed: None (official)
  • Price: Shio ramen ¥1,250; large tokusen toro-niku ramen ¥1,700
  • English menu: Not confirmed at the shop; the official site has an English version
  • Reservation: Walk-in; order at the table, counter seats on two floors
  • Payment: Sources conflict (a July 2026 review lists cash, e-money and QR; Tabelog says no cards, e-money or QR), so bring cash
  • Source: Official shop page

7. Moko Tanmen Nakamoto (蒙古タンメン中本 渋谷) — Spicy miso from ¥1,000, connected underground

Moko Tanmen Nakamoto serves spicy miso tanmen with a posted heat scale from 0 to 10, so you choose how hard to push. On the official chain menu the Moko tanmen (¥1,060) is heat 5, the Hokkyoku ramen (¥1,080) is heat 9, and the shio tanmen (¥1,000) is heat 0 if you want no spice at all.

The Shibuya shop is in the basement (B2F) of the Shibuto Cine Tower (TOHO Cinemas Shibuya) on Dogenzaka. It is 2 minutes from the Keio Inokashira Line West Exit and directly connected underground to the Hanzomon and Den-en-toshi lines, so it is a strong rainy-day choice. There are 14 counter seats plus tables, and September and October 2026 reviews report no line at 11:00 or 18:40, and fast turnover even when a line forms.

What to order

  • Moko tanmen (蒙古タンメン), ¥1,060, heat 5 - the signature bowl.
  • Hokkyoku ramen (北極ラーメン), ¥1,080, heat 9 - for heat seekers.
  • Shio tanmen, ¥1,000, heat 0 - the no-spice option for a mixed group.

Practical info

  • Location: Shibuto Cine Tower (TOHO Cinemas Shibuya) B2F, 2-6-17 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku
  • Nearest station: Keio Inokashira Line West Exit 2 min; Hanzomon / Den-en-toshi lines 2 min (underground connection); JR Hachiko Exit 4 min
  • Hours: 10:00-22:30 (official)
  • Closed: None, apart from the New Year holidays
  • Price: ¥1,000-¥1,080 (official chain menu)
  • English menu: Not confirmed (check Google Maps or the official site)
  • Reservation: Walk-in only; ticket machine
  • Payment: IC cards accepted; credit cards and QR not
  • Source: Official shop page

Insider tip

This is spicy miso tanmen, not sesame-style tantanmen.

8. AFURI Shibuya Dogenzaka (AFURI 渋谷道玄坂) — Yuzu shio, ¥1,490, no cash

AFURI's Dogenzaka shop (opened April 25, 2025, per Tabelog) is the one for yuzu shio ramen, and with Shinbusakiya it is one of two shops here with a vegan bowl on the official menu. It is open until 05:00 on Fridays and Saturdays (last order 04:30), with 18 counter seats.

The important detail is payment: AFURI Dogenzaka takes no cash at all. The ticket machine accepts cards and QR, and IC e-money is handled by staff rather than the machine. Prices are higher than neighbors, and several Japanese reviewers call it overpriced. The vegan option is the Rainbow Vegan Ramen on the official menu, and Tabelog lists a vegan menu for this branch; we could not find its price here (the Shinjuku Lumine menu on Tabelog listed it at ¥1,990 in August 2025). It is not a vegan kitchen.

What to order

  • Yuzu shio ramen (柚子塩らーめん), ¥1,490 - the signature citrus-and-salt bowl.
  • Shio ramen, ¥1,390 - the plainer, cheaper bowl.
  • Rainbow Vegan Ramen - the vegan bowl (price at this branch unknown).

Practical info

  • Location: ReRaiMa Shibuya Dogenzaka, 1-19-12 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku
  • Nearest station: Keio Inokashira Line Shinsen Station 4 min; JR Shibuya Station Hachiko Exit 10 min
  • Hours: Sun-Thu 11:00-23:00 (last order 22:30); Fri-Sat 11:00-05:00 (last order 04:30)
  • Closed: New Year holidays
  • Price: Shio ramen ¥1,390; yuzu shio ramen ¥1,490; yuzu ratanmen ¥1,590
  • English menu: Yes, bilingual Japanese/English official menu
  • Reservation: Walk-in only; ticket machine
  • Payment: Cashless only; cards and QR at the machine, IC e-money via staff
  • Vegan status: Vegan ramen on the official menu; not a dedicated vegan kitchen, so ask staff if cross-contact matters to you
  • Source: AFURI shop list

Insider tip

A queue can form at the ticket machine rather than the door, so have your card or QR app ready before you reach it. For more vegan bowls across the city, see our vegetarian and vegan ramen guide for Tokyo.

9. Shinbusakiya Shibuya (炙り味噌らーめん 麺匠 真武咲弥 渋谷店) — Seared miso, open to 4:30 a.m.

Shinbusakiya (also called Samurai Noodle) serves seared miso ramen until 04:30 the next morning, and until 05:30 on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays. It is on Dogenzaka, 282 m from Shinsen Station, and the official site lists vegan miso ramen with no animal ingredients as well as gluten-free noodles. We cover it in more detail in our vegetarian ramen guide and our gluten-free ramen guide, which also explains why it is not suitable for celiac disease.

The seared ajitama miso ramen is ¥1,250 and the tokusei version ¥1,400 (September 2026 review). There are 28 seats over 2 floors.

What to order

  • Aburi ajitama miso ramen (炙り味噌らーめん), ¥1,250 - the seared miso signature.
  • Vegan miso ramen (ヴィーガン味噌らーめん) - price unknown (a 2019 Tabelog menu lists a vegan veggie noodle at ¥1,100, which is outdated).

Practical info

  • Location: 2-10-3 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku
  • Nearest station: Shibuya Station (Tabelog lists all Shibuya lines but no minutes); Keio Inokashira Line Shinsen Station 282 m
  • Hours: 11:00-04:30 next day; Fri, Sat and holidays until 05:30 (official; Tabelog differs, so the end time varies by day)
  • Closed: None listed
  • Price: Seared ajitama miso ramen ¥1,250; tokusei ¥1,400
  • English menu: Yes, on the ticket machine (official FAQ)
  • Reservation: None; first come, first served
  • Payment: Cash, transport IC and QR; no credit cards
  • Vegan status: Vegan miso ramen on the official site; not suitable for celiac disease
  • Source: Official site

How to choose

By budget. Kiraku's chuka-men at ¥850 is the cheapest bowl here. At ¥1,000 you have Hayashi, Toride and the shio tanmen at Nakamoto, and Nagi Butao is under ¥1,000 as well. Ichiran is ¥1,180, Santouka and Shinbusakiya are ¥1,250, and AFURI is the priciest standard bowl at ¥1,390-¥1,490. Toppings can push any bowl past ¥1,500.

By style.
